About the Alumni Learning Resource CenterThe Alumni Learning Resource Center (LRC) supports the computer and audiovisual based educational and training programs at HSCB. Public access is provided to computing resources which include health sciences and curriculum-based courseware, document processing software and printers, Internet and e-mail, and microcomputer training space. The media collection contains approximately 1800 programs comprised of: audiocassettes,slide-audio sets, 3/4-inch and VHS videocassettes, laser videodiscs, CD-ROMs and DVD's. The media collection is housed in three locations: 1) Programs most frequently used for self-study are on open shelves; 2) Reserves and most-recently acquired programs
must 3) Remainder of the collection is in special storage and must be requested 24 hours in advance of use. Many computer programs are delivered to personal workstations via the campus network. All media programs are cataloged and are searchable through the online Library Catalog. To request LRC materials, a barcode - obtained at the Library's Access
Services Desk - must be affixed to your valid SUNY-HSCB ID and presented
at the LRC Desk. Teaching faculty and staff may borrow (check out) most
LRC materials for on-campus use. Students must view media programs in
the LRC. When programs are needed for student-led classroom presentations,
the class instructor must agree to borrow the material. Permission forms

All program loans, bookings, and media reserves must be arranged during business hours, M-F, 9am-5pm, in person or by phoning ext. 7423. Telephone bookings require exact title or call number for each program.
