Q How do I borrow materials from the Library?
A You need to complete the registration form and bring it to the Library with your ID card.

Q How do I renew materials if I am not on campus?
A Call 718-270-7401. One renewal is allowed if another patron has not put the material on hold.

Q How do I return materials when the Library is closed?
A Materials may be placed in the drop box outside of the Library door.

Q How do I get materials that the Library does not own?
A Register for an ILLiad account. Materials are obtained at no additional cost to the requester.

QHow do I find a book or journal?
A Use the catalog to determine if the Library owns an item. Ask for assistance if you need it.

Q How do I print?
A You need to purchase a DebiTek card from the dispenser. The card itself costs one dollar and you can then add value to it. Cost of printing is .10c per page.

Q How do I make copies?
A You need to put value on your SUNY ID card (if there is a smart chip on it). A cash to chip machine is available in the photocopy room on the main floor. Cost of printing with card is .10c per page. A cash operated copier is available in the photocopy room. Cost for printing is .25c per page.

Q How do I use the Library if I am not a SUNY ID cardholder?
A You may purchase a subscription July - June for $300.00. Reading privileges only. Metro cards may be issued by other libraries. Regulations apply. SUNY ID card holders may apply for limited access for guests.

Q Where can I send/receive a fax?
A The Library does not provide such a service?

Q How do I get a study room?
A These are available for two hours on a first come first served basis.

Q Where can I do my HIPAA?
A Designated computers in the LRC.

Q Where can I watch a video/DVD?
A In the LRC.

Q How can I access the Library resources when I am not on campus?
A Instructions to access the Library resources from off-campus

Q How much are the fines?
A Library loan periods and overdue schedule

Q Is there someone who can type my paper?
A The Library does not provide such a service.

Q Why can't I bring my children into the Library?
A Children may become restless and pose a disturbance to users. They may also place expensive equipment at risk.
