New Photocopiers are Here!
By Julie Semkow

The Library's new photocopiers were installed in late October and complementary comments from patrons have been coming in. The improved print quality has rated highly. So far the machines have been used heavily with minimal problems. An attendant, under outside contract, continues to manage this service and is available 10am - 7pm, Monday through Friday.

The Library has a total of seven copiers; five in the Photocopy Room on the first floor and two adjacent to the stairwell on the second floor. These new machines feature digital technology and very large paper bales able to hold up to 2500 sheets. In addition, book-safe edges have been installed which means gentler photocopying and increased conservation of the Library's materials.

FYI: PsycINFO Update Schedule

The American Psychological Association has temporarily stopped the regular updates of the PsycINFO and PsycFIRST databases as they prepare for their annual reload of the PsycINFO database. APA expects to resume their normal update schedule in approximately mid-November. At that time, they will add to PsycINFO and PsycFIRST all data that was collected during the temporary hiatus in database updating.
